Queen Ann's Lace
(Daucus carota)

Queen
Ann's Lace was brought to the United States by settlers from
England. All the flowers in the disk are white, except
for a single purple one in the center. Like many other
summer wildflowers, it is a source of nectar for bees and
butterflies. When you pick these flowers, you will
smell carrots and understand why another name for this plant
is wild carrot.
