Join us for music and fun.
Learn about exotic instruments. See some of Lakeside's animals up
close. Sing along with the band. You can even learn a few
words in American Sign Language.
Experience the wild world of nature in the heart of Kansas
City, Missouri. Lakeside Nature Center, located in Swope Park,
at 4701 East Gregory Blvd, exhibits wildlife native to the area, offers educational programs,
coordinates community conservation projects, and is one of
Missouri’s largest wildlife rehabilitation facilities.

shortly and given instructions on what to do.
Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to
Sunday, 11 AM to 3 PM (Starting 9/19/10)
The hospital is staffed every day of
the week. You may bring animals
Monday through Saturday from 8:30 to 4:30
Sunday from 8:30 to 3:30
What to Do For Injured or Baby Animals
If you have a Missouri animal in need, please call the Center
(816-513-8960) and leave a message. You will contacted
shortly and given instructions on what to do. If you don't
receive a call back or the animal is truly needs help, bring it to Lakeside Nature Center
by 4:00 pm, (3:30 on Sunday and Monday), or after 9:00
a.m. the following day.

What happens when you bring an
animal to the Nature Center
The Nature Center needs dog food
(both dry and canned), cat food (both dry and canned), black oil sunflower seed, raw peanuts,
and Niger seed. Towels of
all sizes are always needed in the hospital. Please drop off
your donations at the center. Check the
wish list page for other
items the center needs.
