New hike schedule

Join a Lakeside Nature Center Naturalist to explore the trails around the center.  Dress appropriately for the weather of the day and bring along a water bottle.  The trailhead for the hike will be determined based on weather forecasts and the condition of trail options.  Each hike starts at 10:30 in the morning.

Join a Lakeside Nature Center Naturalist on a birding expedition.  You'll learn to identify birds by their calls as well as by sight.  Dress appropriately for the weather of the day and bring along a water bottle and your own binoculars.  The route for the hike will be determined based on weather forecasts and the condition of trails.  Birds are most active during the cool hours of the morning; our hikes start progressively earlier each month. Little Blue River Watershed Coalition and Heart of America Fly Fishers invite you to bring your children and learn all about the bugs in our streams, the fish that eat them and what they can tell us about the quality of the water.
Learn from the Heart of America Fly Fishers as they tie flys of those bugs and show you how to cast your fly to attract fish.
